Description
This was taken last spring during the Blossom Festival at Hood River, OR. Perhaps it's the fruits of persistence or patience. About 10 minutes prior to this shot, this place was full of photographers. I got here before anyone else, an hour before twilight to spot out my compositions. Then walked around for a little bit. Before you know it, within an hour there were nearly 2 dozen other photogs. Grrr.. I ended up literally shooting above them to get any type of shot. Compositions were less than ideal. Luckily, after the alpenglow - which was weak, flat and the sky was murky anyway - every single one of them left. I had this place to myself. Excellent! The dense low level clouds began to clear and the light began to make color. Awesome, not only did I get this unique light, there wasn't anyone else that caught it here. About 20 minutes later, I packed up and walked back to my car with a smug smile. =D My smug grin got even bigger when I got to my car, two photogs just arrived.
